And DR Congo returns to Miss Universe pageant, joining the crowd of hopefuls in November 2024. After almost forty years away from the Miss Universe pageant, the Democratic Republic of Congo is back to the international competition. And breathtaking Ilda Amani is entrusted with the responsibility of making this rich country shine in Mexico.

This is what happened.

First of all, Democratic Republic of Congo started taking part in Miss World and Miss Universe in 1968. However, for certain reasons, the country took a long break from Miss Universe from 1983 to last month, August. The fact is the country did not stop beauty pageants, but stopped taking part in those two international pageants.

Secondly, in 2008 the Democratic Republic of Congo took part in her first Miss Earth pageant. And then there was another break and change of ownership of the franchise. And so DRC did not take part in Miss Earth till after eight years, 2015.

So now DR Congo returns to M*U this year 2024. DRC is back to show off the beauty and talent of the world’s richest country. Also, we should remember that DRC is going through a lot; civil unrest, exploitation by outsiders.

Also, let us look at the beauty queen, Ilad Amani. This glamorous beauty who is going to Mexico in December. The young stunner has been in the pageant limelight since she was twenty-one years old. In addition, Amani was already a graduate of Finance and Accounting when she took part in the Miss Africa pageant.

As the ambassador to celebrate that DR Congo returns to MU, Ilami is quite capable. As earlier said, Amani was already at the international stage at Miss Africa Calabar in 2015. Apart from that, her mind is brilliant and sharp.
