ATHING MU: FIRST AMERICAN FEMALE 800M CHAMPION

Athing Mu of America is of South Sudanese origin. At the Olympic games held in Tokyo in 2020, she won a gold medal at the 800m event. No American athlete has won that medal in fifty-three years. Another record breaking was being the first a female to win it.

Athing Mu has been racing since she was sixe years old. Her professional life as an athlete began in 2013 when she won her first medal at the USATF junior Olympics championship. She is champion at 400m, 600m, 400m relay, 800m, 1500m and one mile!

She is a beautiful runway model when she is not on the tracks.

“I don’t always think about all the things I’ve done because I’m always thinking about the next thing….” Says the champion and we shall borrow a leaf.

So do you think more of these athletes should be on the runway? Do share your thoughts in the comments section below.
