Tharina Botes is the new Miss World Thailand and she is half South African. She won the title on the night of 1st October 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. If that is not the evidence of victory in diversity, what is? Her mother is South African and her father is from Thailand.

Tharina Botes is not new to pageantry. She is who you would call a guru of pageantry. Over time, she has garnered enviable opportunities for global representation. She was Miss International South Africa in 2016, Miss Grand Phuket in 2019, top 4 in 2018 Miss Mamelodi Sundowns and first runner-up Miss Universe Thailand 2021.

This African Amazon is not letting up at all. Do you know she feels at home on the pageant stage and the ocean floor? She also has projects making life easier for young children in the society.
